Gelateria Giolitti, Pompi, Dar Poeta, Pastificio Guerra and more

When in Rome, eat without guiltMarcela

Where should travelers go to eat?

From Pizza to Pasta, from Tiramissu to Gelato, passing to Panna Cotta, the possibilities are endless.

Undoubtedly, the best place to eat Gelato in Rome is the “Gelateria Giolitti”, well known by tourists.

Another well-known-place, but not so much, is “Pompi”, where you can eat the best tiramissu in the world, in my opinion. Worth a try.

For pizza, my favorite pizzeria is in the heart of Trastevere and is called “Dar Poeta”: it is impossible to regret it. Eat without guilt.

Pasta at Pastificio Guerra

In relation to Pasta, another place that tourists love for being very economical is the “Take-away” Pastificio Guerra, where one can eat pasta and drink wine for only 4 euros near Piazza di Spagna.
But attention, a tip: they only give you the wine if you ask for it and consume it inside the place!

If, instead, who is passing through Rome is looking for a more traditional restaurant, just go into some Trattoria and ask for some indication (In the neighborhood “Monti” there are many).

For who is a vegetarian, I’d recommend some dish with artichoke. But not forget to also try Mozzarela, you will eat crying with such joy!!

For those who eat meat, instead, you should definitely order a Carbonara.

What about drinks?

I would say Red Wine. But first comes the coffee. I can’t live without coffee.

In Italy, it’s always time for a coffee. And, of course, water. I love the water of Rome. It’s always fresh and you can drink it for free in the fountains.

Those sources from which water comes out are called “Nasone”, because they resemble a nose (?), in the opinion of the Romans. In my opinion, this is one of the best and most poetic things in Rome. Just like love, we need water to live, and Rome is a city that gives us water.

“Oh … beautiful Rome, I love you”…
